Mattresses Are Way To Expensive

I don’t know what to say.  I’m very surprised with what I found out in these last two days.  I guess that’s what happens when you enter into something you know nothing about.  And just three days ago I didn’t know anything about mattresses.  Well, now I feel like I’m a mattress veteran.  Let me explain myself.

I wanted to get a new mattress for myself since my old one is too soft and two small.  I was thinking about it for too long but now that I got some time off from my work I decided to finally get into this whole bed thing.  Then, in Monday, I resisted to local stores.  They were nothing special just furniture stores written a lot of sofa’s, closets, bed, chairs and mattresses of course.  The prices were just too high that I kept my mouth open for almost 5 minutes.  I really looked funny, walking around and looking at those prices and wondering what is happening.  I remember thinking why would anyone spend $1000 for a mattress, no matter what brand we are talking about.

I was thinking that I only need one twin mattress for about $200 and I’m out of here.  But there wasn’t any discount and no sale so I had to get out of there.  After I visited another store to find my new twin bed, I encountered the same thing.  I slowly backed away, just like Homer Simpson did in one of the episodes, and decided to do some research online.  I simply don’t trust the salesman soul I wanted to check out some websites, so consumer reviews and mattress prices.

I find several of them mental for a pretty good information, but this one website gave me a list of cheap twin mattresses prices and that were the prices I hoped for.  Of course, now I can’t find the right twin mattress for my apartment.  It won’t be expensive and over $1000, it could be just a simple cheap bed that I can comfortably sleep on.  But I still wonder how is it possible that there are so many of these expensive products in stores.  And that there are buyers who are ready to pay that kind of money.  I guess I’ll never understand that.
